Route From Fishbourne | Route From East Cowes

Whether you’re travelling by foot or by car, getting to the Isle Of Wight is easy. There are two ferry companies that operate a mainland ferry service, Red Funnel who operate out of Southampton, and Wightlink who operate out of Lymington and Portsmouth.

In addition, Red Funnel operate the only commercially operated hovercraft in the world. It operates out of Southsea in Portsmouth to Ryde and carries foot passengers.

Red Funnel Ferry Service

Red Funnel Ferries operate out of Southampton and the crossing takes approximately 1 hour. They dock at East Cowes which provides easy access to the Island.

Wightlink Ferries

Wightlink Ferries operate out of Portsmouth docking at either Lymington or Fishbourne with between 30 and 45 minute crossing times. They don’t have a dancing Jim, but the staff are nice and helpful just the same!
